Frequently Asked Questions

From how our flood panels work to details about installation, storage, and deployment, we cover the answers you need to protect your property.

Can I save money on my flood insurance by using the FRA Flood Panel?

Flood Risk America's flood protection products are recognized by insurance carriers and many of our clients receive an extensive reduction in their insurance premiums.

How lightweight are your flood panels?

Our panels weigh less than 5 pounds per square foot, making them light enough for easy handling and quick deployment, without compromising strength or protection.

Are there colour options available?

Yes, we custom create your flood panel and can color match the decor of your building.

Can I deploy the flood panels myself?

Yes. Our custom flood barriers are designed for fast, tool-free deployment by your team. We also provide on-site training so you're fully prepared to deploy them when needed.

What makes your custom flood barriers better than any other ones out there?

Many flood companies are distributors of generic, one-size-fits-all flood products that are mass-produced elsewhere. We engineer, test, and manufacture or own custom flood barriers with a team of flood experts, engineers, and architectural designers.

Our panels use aerospace-grade materials and advanced CCN Seal Technology to create a watertight barrier. They're easy to handle, require no permanent alterations to your building, and are custom-designed to your property. Plus, they're American-made and backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

How are they installed?

Our custom flood barriers are anchored to the wall using a drill for a secure fit, then sealed with a high-strength gasket system. The deployment is made simple with easy-turn knobs, allowing for quick, tool-free tightening. In areas where drilling isn't feasible, such as glass or decorative finishes, we use a compression jack panel system that presses securely in place without penetrating the structure.

Do you offer warranty on your products?

Yes, we offer a Lifetime Warranty on our custom flood barriers. We are confident about our flood products and want our clients to have peace of mind.

How do I know what product works best?

We conduct a Flood Risk Assessment to determine the best solution for your property based on flood risk, structure type, and operational needs. Every system is tailored to your site.

Do you come out to measure before we order?

Yes. We conduct a site visit and detailed measurement process to ensure a custom fit. Accurate sizing is critical for reliable protection.

How do your custom flood barriers compress against the building?

Our panels use a high-strength compression system with engineered gaskets that press securely against the surface of your building, creating a watertight seal without damaging the structure.

How many hours do they take to deploy?

Deployment time depends on the number of panels, but typically, our custom flood barriers can be deployed in minutes per square foot.

What do they look like on the property when they are not deployed?

When not in use, we use discrete sidewalk bolts to cover the holes where we drill to anchor the panels. Our custom flood barriers can be stored offsite or in a compact location. They leave little to no visual impact on the building and do not affect the aesthetic of your property. Take a look at a video example here.
